Dalsa makes news! Below is a link to today's Hollywood Reporter article about the first feature film shot in 4K. They used - cue the brass section - the Dalsa Origin II camera. It's a film directed by LeVar Burton (more commonly known in the Hummel house as Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge), and stars LeVar, Alfre Woodard, and Seymour Cassel. No word as to whether or not Rob has revealed to LeVar his inner Trekkie...
The article is pretty technical, but I promise - no quizzes from me about 2K, 4K, terabytes, Codex recorders, Ciprico disk packs, or digital color grading. (I'm still recovering from Rob's 3-D presentation...)
