Miracles Happen

Sometimes you don't know what to do, so you do the one thing that won't leave you alone. When confronted by the possibility of West Valley's closing, the one thing that wouldn't leave me alone was the idea of consolidating efforts into a blog for the school. It all seemed like an ok idea and people liked it. But little did I know...

My friend, and WVLA volunteer, Tricia Chantha told me that her son, Max had written a letter to Supervisor Antonovich. She mentioned that it might be good to put the letter on the blog. I loved the letter and, and somehow, rather than my normal diddling around, I put it up straight away.

Then Paul, who is on vacation in Canada, gets a call from Supervisor Antonovich who said he had perused the blog and saw Max's letter and didn't remember seeing it on his desk. He wanted to know if Paul could come in before the Supervisors and explain what he's doing. Paul asked how long he'd get.  Supervisor Antonovich said 2 minutes. Paul said he could do it in 10. Deal.

So, not only is the school looking like it may have a reprieve, but Paul is now going to have the attention of the group who oversees the county school district and maybe they might see the bigger picture. Paul said the one thing that he doesn't understand is with the success and acclaim that has been accorded the school, why no one in county government seems to be interested in it or in him. Good question. Maybe it will be answered when he meets with the Supervisors.

Sometimes miracles don't leave you alone.
